"THAT CHANGES    EVERYTHING!"

Their Creativity Changed America!

"That Changes Everything!" is a show that was developed to follow the 2009 Library theme of "Creativity @ the Library".  It is also a "Diversity Show" following school curriculum guidelines.  It celebrates one of the things that make America truly unique.  That is our belief that anyone, no matter what, can accomplish or do anything due to their individual drive and abilities.  You don't have to be a King or a Noble, member of a family guild or some other criteria.  It is up to YOU what you create with yourself.  No other country in the world has this openness or opportunity.

It shines a spotlight on the lives and accomplishments of Alexander Graham Bell, George Washington Carver, Nellie Bly and Jim Henson.

During the show Professor Aragorn becomes Alexander Graham Bell, a 1900's Share Cropper and a Puppeteer.  Miss Story dons the roles of AGB's assistant, Nellie Bly, a 1900's Share Cropper and a Puppeteer.

Benefits of the That Changes Everything! production:

  • supports statewide learning objectives in scientific inquiry

  • motivates children to read books

  • integrates science and reading with daily life

  • increases circulation of library books

This show is suitable for grades K - 9
